Taisia Novakhova, designer of Lady Tais, grew up with fashion always on her mind. At the age of seven, she already began collecting fabrics to make dresses for herself and her family. At the age of fourteen, Taisia’s fashion-nurturing parents sent her off to Poland to study Art and Couture design. Taisia continued her studies in Russia and Israel as well and added to her designer experience by creating costumes for hundreds of theatrical shows and events. Now, she managing her own fashion label in Toronto.
For YYC Fashion Week 2013, Lady Tais designs will flaunt Italian silks, organic chiffons, laces, and textured cottons and linens on the runway. This 2014 S/S collection will have lots of movement in the fabrics to add that desirable flow to the fashion designs. The pieces will be “bright with colours, patterns, materials that ignite happiness and summertime – feeling enlighted, carefree, and unique”.
